Brick Breaker — The Ultimate Breakout Experience

From the golden era of arcade cabinets comes Brick Breaker — a physics-based game of precision, reflexes, and satisfying destruction. Bounce the glowing ball off your paddle, shatter rows of colored bricks, and claim the high score.

What Is Brick Breaker?

Brick Breaker is a classic Breakout-style arcade game. A glowing ball bounces around the game field, and your job is to control a paddle at the bottom of the screen to keep the ball in play. Each time the ball hits a brick, the brick is destroyed and you earn points. Clear all bricks to win the round.

The bricks are arranged in five color-coded rows, each worth different points — from red (10 pts) at the top to blue (50 pts) at the bottom. The angle at which the ball leaves the paddle is controlled by where it hits: center hits send the ball straight, while edge hits send it at sharp angles, giving you control over the ball's trajectory.

How to Play Brick Breaker

  • Click Start Game to launch the ball and begin.
  • Move the paddle left and right using arrow keys or A/D. You can also move the mouse across the canvas or drag on touch screens.
  • Keep the ball bouncing by positioning the paddle beneath it.
  • Hit bricks to destroy them and earn points. Higher rows are worth more.
  • If the ball drops past the paddle, you lose a life. Reset ball appears on the paddle.
  • Clear all bricks to win. Lose all 3 lives and it's game over.

Tips to Score High at Brick Breaker

1. Aim for the upper rows first

The blue and green bricks at the top are worth the most points. Direct the ball into the upper section early to rack up big scores before the brick count drops.

2. Use edge hits to redirect the ball

Hitting the ball with the left or right edge of the paddle sends it at a sharp angle. Use this deliberately to reach bricks in the corners that a straight shot can't easily access.

3. Don't chase the ball sideways

Move the paddle predictively — watch the ball's trajectory and position the paddle where the ball will be, not where it is. Reactive chasing leads to missed catches.

4. Let the ball do the work

Once the ball is bouncing in the upper section, it often clears multiple bricks per pass. Resist the urge to redirect it unnecessarily — just keep it in play.

5. Keep calm on the last few bricks

When only a few bricks remain in hard-to-reach spots, the ball trajectory becomes unpredictable. Stay patient and keep moving the paddle to cover ground.

Frequently Asked Questions

You win! A congratulations screen appears showing your final score and best score. You can then restart for another round.
Yes. The section of the paddle that the ball hits determines its outgoing angle. Center hits give a steep bounce, while edge hits give shallow angles — use this to aim.
Yes. Drag your finger across the canvas to control the paddle, or use the on-screen left/right buttons below the game area.
Clearing all bricks in the current version resets the board for a fresh round (no brick is added between rounds). A level system with increasing difficulty may be added in a future update.
